Nintendo has confirmed all of the new additions coming to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, and it’s more than a simple remaster.
The Wii U remaster will include substantial visual upgrades and subtle gameplay tweaks to existing items and previously obnoxious quests.
Hero Mode is one major addition, a new challenge mode that disables heart drops and doubles the damage Link will take from enemies.
Wind Waker HD also supported Hero Mode, a feature that down a treat with hardcore Zelda fans.

Twilight Princess HD will contain a new item known as the Ghost Lantern. This object will emit a bright glow whenever a Poe soul is nearby, making the original game’s tedious soul-retrieval quest much easier to complete.
Whenever Link collects rupees from a treasure chest while his wallet is full, they will no longer be returned to said chest. This is because Link’s wallet has been altered to carry more rupees.
The total number of Tears of Light you need to collect has been reduced from 16 to 12. Now that we think about it, most of these changes are fixing rubbish fetch quests.
Nintendo has said there are many more changes to find in Twilight Princess HD, and “discovering them as you play through the legendary adventure is part of the fun.”
Features such as the game’s map and inventory system can now be accessed using the gamepad. It can also be played exclusively on the gamepad, so you can solve dungeons in bed.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be launching on March 4. The limited edition will release will include a Wolf Link amiibo, which grants access to an exclusive dungeon.
