Hearthstone Blackrock Mountain EP drops April 3

The Heartstone Blackrock Mountain EP release date has been confirmed.

Blizzard has announced the Blackrock Mountain EP for Hearthstone will arrive on April 3 in Europe.

In fact, the EP actually drops onto Mac, Windows, iPad and Android tablets on April 2 in the US, but Europe, Korea, Taiwan and China will have to wait until April 3.

The Blackrock Mountain rollout begins with the release of the first wing, known as Blackrock Depths.

“Throughout the course of this adventure, you’ll harness the power of some of Azeroth’s mightiest denizens and unlock powerful new synergies through a whole flight of Dragon-type minion cards.”

Blackrock Mountain will add 31 new cards to the game, spread across the five wings of the EP release. There’s also an all-new game board, new music and some new legendary encounters to be had in Blackrock Mountain.

Blizzard has shown off three of the new cards coming with the Blackrock Depths wing, which you can see below.

The Volanic Drake is a 6/4 for six mana dragon class card that actually costs one less mana for each minion that died in that particular turn.

Then there’s the Drakonid Crusher, which is a 6/6 for six mana dragon class card. It has a Battlecry that allows you to gain +3/+3 if your opponent has 15 or less health.

Nefarian is an 8/8 for ninte mana cost dragon with a rather powerful Battlecry. It lets you add two random spells to your hand from your opponent’s class.

Blizzard has also given details on a few of the cards coming with each wing, which you can read about here:

If you want the limited edition Molten Core card back you’ll need to pre-purchase the whole of Blackrock Mountain for £17.49 (real money) before April 3.
