Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

Blizzard has finally released Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft for Android tablets on the Google Play store.

Hearthstone, the addictive card game from Blizzard’s Warcraft franchise, has finally been released on the Google Play store for Android tablets.

The virtual trading card game is based on characters and lore from the Warcraft games and makes you battle against other player in online matches.

You’ll need to deploy minions and spells to deplete your enemies’ health and win the battle.

It’s currently not available for Android smartphones, but a smartphone version is also in the works for Android mobiles and iPhone devices.

For now, the game is only compatible with Android devices with screens of 6-inches or larger, meaning the Google Nexus 6 just missed out. Also, they’ll need to run Android 4.0 or later.

Hearthstone is free to download but you will notice optional in-game microtransactions. We’ve had no trouble powering through the game without spending a single penny, so don’t worry about being forced to spend money in-game.

Blizzard originally released Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft on iPad in April, and by September the game had hit 20 million downloads.

The developer is best known for its MMO World of Warcraft, which recently reached its 10 year anniversary.

Blizzard recently announced a new class-based online shooter known as Overwatch, which should arrive sometime next year.

The first Hearthstone expansion was also released recently, known as Goblins vs Gnomes, which added 120 new cards to collect.
