Hands-on Nokia Lumia 820 pictures have appeared online just days ahead of the handset’s expected September 5th unveiling in New York.
The as yet unconfirmed handset’s second premature appearance in a matter of days, claimed hands-on images of Nokia’s first Windows 8 handset have hit the web courtesy of Chinese site Coolxap. The latest images following Friday’s Nokia Lumia 820 leaks that saw rendered press images outed on Twitter.
Seemingly set to sport a slimmer, longer body than its Nokia Lumia 800 predecessor whilst maintaining many of the same design characteristics, the heavily rumoured Nokia Lumia 820 has been snapped sporting a white polycarbonate finish, with previous leaks suggesting the WP loving handset will also be made available in grey, black, purple, blue, yellow and red colour schemes.
Varying slightly from the previously leaked Lumia 820 press shots, the latest early outing shows a device which brandishes the words “Property of Nokia, not for sale. Prototype” on its rear suggesting this particular model might never make it to the realms of reality.
Whilst a number of Nokia Lumia 820 images have hit the web, details on the upcoming handset’s internals are still a little unclear with the Windows Phone 8 filled device said to be heading to market with an expansive 4.3-inch display. Although the device has somewhat surprisingly been tipped to sport a meagre 335MB of RAM, little else is know about what to expect from Nokia’s latest Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 4S rival.
With Nokia and Microsoft confirmed to be hosting a joint launch event in New York City this Wednesday, September 5th, it is widely expected that the Finnish phone manufacturer will further deepen its close relationship with the Redmond-based software giant, unveiling what are likely to be the first Windows 8 handsets to hit retailers across the globe.
Not content with launching one new high-end Windows Phone 8 handset, Nokia is expected to partner the Lumia 820 unveiled with confirmation of the Nokia Lumia 920 PureView, the company’s previously leaked new flagship handset.
Having previously leaked alongside the Lumia 820, the Nokia Lumia 920 PureView is rumoured to be getting ready for launch with a 4.5-inch display in tow. As its name suggests, the 920 is also expected to feature Nokia’s high megapixel PureView camera technology debuted earlier this year on the Symbian powered Nokia 808 PureView.
