Halo 4 Console Bundle Revealed - Last and Best Xbox 360 Ever?

Halo 4

As hardcore console gamers will no doubt be aware, gaming icon Master Chief is set to return this November in Halo 4 for Xbox 360. To mark the occasion, Microsoft has officially revealed the existence of a special edition Halo 4 console bundle at this year's Comic-Con.

The package will include a customised Xbox 360 console, complete with 320GB hard drive, snazzy Halo 4-inspired paint job and a cool blue light around the power button and on the controller guide buttons (they're typically green). Some reports suggest it'll also play custom sounds when you turn the console on or open the disc tray, although the official press release mentioned nothing of the sort.

Of course, you'll also get a copy of the Halo 4 game itself as part of the bundle, as well as access codes for some bonus downloadable content for your avatar. Oh, and two similarly gaudy control pads and a pretty normal-looking headset.

In addition to the packed controllers, Microsoft will be making a stand-alone Halo 4-themed Xbox controller available with a different design - but the same blue light. This is being launched on October 21 for $59.99.

Halo 4 will be the first mainline Halo game to not be handled by Bungie, the original creator of the blockbuster FPS series. New developer 343 Industries has been given the task of topping some of the best first person shooter games ever created with its first original game. Good luck with that.

The game will be set four years after the events of Halo 3, and will see a return of focus to Master chief after a two-game hiatus.

The Xbox 360 limited edition Halo 4 console bundle will be available with the launch of Halo 4 on November 6 for an estimated $399. That might seem a little pricey for a seven year old (though revamped and modified) console. From another perspective, though, this is likely to be one of the last - and thus best - iterations of one of the finest consoles ever made.

Wow, that's very creative. I was thinking to buy an xbox 360 but found another article online which said that xbox 720 will be released soon and it will be x8 times stronger than 360. Now I am hesitating again. Btw, these 360 and 720 ones can play 3D games well right? Cuz I have an LG 3D TV and so far I love its 3D ability very much. I want to play advanced games on it and halo is no exception.
