Halo 4 kicks off huge Xbox 360 Games on Demand sale

Microsoft has launched what it is calling the “Xbox Ultimate Game Sale”, offering up to 85 per cent off top Xbox 360 titles.

Halo 4 is the first title offered by the sale, now downloadable for 33 per cent off the RRP at £24.99. Fans of the series will also find that Halo 3, Halo Reach and Halo Wars can be bought for just £8.99 each today too.

Each day until the sale ends on March 4, gamers can get their hands on a different set of discounted titles with over 60 games being offered via the Xbox 360 Games on Demand service.

To see what’s on offer on a particular day, Xbox 360 gamers can follow Xbox Live’s Director of Programming, Larry Hryb, on twitter via his Xbox Live gamertag “Major Nelson” (@majornelson).

The sale offerings will only be available at the special discounted prices for a limited period, so gamers will want to make a speedy purchase while they can.

Alongside Halo 4, other titles to be offered by the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale will include the steampunk-fantasy stealth adventure Dishonoured, a whole host of Call of Duty games, Fallout 3 and Fallout 3: New Vegas as well as Max Payne 3.

If none of those titles appeal, gamers can also explore the vast Western expanses of Red Dead Redemption or the invest some game play hours into the offerings within Valve’s Orange Box complete with Half Life 2 and Portal.

Titles will be offered at special discounts of up to 75 per cent of the normal Games on Demand prices, with some games available for an 85 per cent markdown.

The Xbox 360 game sale comes in the midst of a fervour of Xbox 720 rumours, reportedly set to launch on April 26.
