There are also plants to deliver a remastered version of Halo 2 map Relic to the Master Chief Collection in the near future via a content update.

“To show our appreciation to the Galo community for their support and understanding as we worked through issues impacting Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we are offering free to all online users that have played Halo: The Master Chief Collection between November 11 2014 and December 19 2014 the following:

Development has only just start on the campaign for Halo 3: ODST for The Master Chief Collection, so we may well have to wait a little for the free download.

“The satisfaction and joy of our fans is absolutely critical to everyone at 343 Industries and we regret the issues and the frustration you have endured. We are truly sorry and thank you for your continued patience and support of the Halo franchise,” said 343 Industries Head Bonnie Ross on Xbox Wire.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was plagued by matchmaking issues and other bugs impacting the gameplay experience.

343 Industries issued weekly content updates and server adjustments that seemed to have fixed the problems on the whole.

“This has been a humbling experience and highlighted how we as a studio can – and need – to do better for Xbox fans around the world. We are so grateful to our fans who have stood by our side and we appreciate all your patience as we worked through these issues,” added Ross.
