GTA: San Andreas getting Xbox 360 revamp?

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas could be getting re-released on Xbox 360, according to a new leak.

According to a new achievements leak, Rockstar could be preparing to launch GTA: San Andreas on the Xbox 360.

An awards list posted to Xbox Achievements suggests that an Xbox 360 launch for GTA: San Andreas is imminent.

Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed whether the 2004 PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 Grand Theft Auto game is coming to Xbox 360 but it would be an apt time to do a port.

This month marks the 10 year anniversary of the game’s original release, all the way back on October 26 2004.

Supporting the rumour, the Xbox Originals download has mysteriously disappeared from the Xbox Store, suggesting the re-release is imminent.

It’s not like Rockstar hasn’t already released GTA: San Andreas outside of the original PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 formats.

You can now buy it on the iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone devices. A PS3/Xbox 360 version could therefore be on the cards.

It would also help promote the Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTA 5, due November 18. The PC version is following later on January 27.

We’ll keep you posted if and when Rockstar announce a last-gen port for the classic GTA game.
