Rockstar has issued a new GTA 5 title update, patch 1.04, for PS3 gamers, aiming to fix issues with vehicle losses.

The 1.04 PS3 patch "is expected to fix the remaining instances of issues that have caused vehicle purchase loss and will also enable the functionality through which we'll be providing this GTA$ stimulus cash to players."

Offered as a title update for PS3 gamers only, patch 1.04 is a 39MB download for GTA 5.

Earlier this month, another GTA 5 update was rolled out, with publisher Rockstar releasing patch 1.03 to address a number of bug fixes within the game.

Although the studio didn't officially reveal the complete ins and outs of the latest GTA 5 update, the latest patch, which comes just three weeks after the game’s official release, is said to close off some GTA Online options which have caused widespread issues.

With a raft of GTA Online problems having plagued the online, multiplayer platforms launch last week, the new GTA 5 update has been suggested to prevent gamers from farming money and constantly repeating the same missions.

Available for both Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers, the GTA 5 1.03 update weighed in as a 39MB free download for Sony’s console, and a 59MB patch for Xbox gamers.

Rockstar has been busy issuing GTA 5 updates and correcting GTA Online problems in recent weeks, with gamers complaining that the online platform has caused characters and in-game progress to be lost for no reason.

Responding to the complaints, a Rockstar spokesperson last week stated: "We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value.”

Despite the issues, Rockstar has been a global success, with the game receiving a number of Guinness World Records for its early performances.

Having become the highest grossing day one entertainment release of all time, GTA 5 went on to generate more than $1 billion in sales in just three days.

Fixing the matter of being able to get cash relatively fast is Rockstar's priority?!
Meanwhile we're sitting here with constant bugs making the game hard as shit to play.
Characters are vanishing and money is disappearing, But that's fine! Because Rockstar is fixing the only way to get it back!!

Awesome well at least they got that taken care of. But it's really cool how you can wait like 10min loading online. Give or Take 5 failed attempts. Sweet though at least now people can't replay missions

New bug fix doesn't fix cars dissapearing on singleplayer. Fix singlrplayer bugs before multiplayer please.

Meanwhile all the rest take 20 min's or more and pay like 1,500. Even bigger pile of bullshit. Nobody makes you play the repeat mission, Philly-you can always opt out~

3rd patch out and 3rd time they've cut down $-making opportunities...I'm guessing next we'll be playing for Rubles & have to pay in US $'s? Wish any bets made on that'd transfer through to my OL account that's being treated like a Guantanimo detainee...

Instead of worrying about people making money fast. They should be worried about character loss and players loosing all hard time and work put into the game. That should have been fixed. How can you enjoy the money if your character gets deleted, think about it.

In reality; people farming does not effect other gamers, it doesn't cause upset to the servers, it is not in any way a major issue apart from the fact that Rockstar plan to enable the microtransactions soon and if people can farm GTA$ then why would they buy them?

They are using the minority of people complaining about this as a veil to line their own pockets even more so and I have no doubt, when things are running smoothly, GTA Online is going to turn into yet another buy to win game.

As unfortunate as this is I will still keep loyal to the game, and I'll probably even put some real money into it at some point to be honest, it's just a shame that a company who made near $1 Billion feels the need to ruin a game like this. That's my two cents at least.

Maybe you can explain to me how exactly people being able to make up for their lost money and characters by farming a mission is in any way bullshit or ruins the game?

I put $130,000 into a Sultan RS the other night only to find that it was gone from my garage once I reloaded my game, as well as the money being gone.

R* isn't going to bother reimbursing anyone for the shit they've lost so farming missions was the only way to make up for the lost money.

Yeah, that's not a bug. It's a feature used in a fashion that they did not intend. So an exploit. They always intended you to be able to replay missions as much as you wanted to, it's just that somehow with their ridiculously massive team of developers noone imagined that this would be use to farm xp and money? I guess they must have all been too high off sniffing their own farts.

Whatever rockstar fanboys (and I love their games, but some people go to far) say, this is nothing to do with fixing the game. It's patching up ways to make good money so that people will buy their microtransaction bullshit. It's not even an mmo but they expect people to buy that crap, and for that to happen they'll have to make sure noone can make the kind of money you need to ingame to get the nicest items that can be purchased. That is, obviously, why the missions are for paltry cash. You'd never make the tens of millions you need for a stable of nice upgraded cars in a ten car garage with the kind of payout they offer, it's physically impossible.

To make it worse, I think they intended these glitches to happen. That way a minority of people will have everything the game has to offer, having farmed tens of millions of dollars repeating missions, while everyone else who bought the game slightly later, just didn't hear about the farming exploits, didn't get to them soon enough, or just plain decided not to do them, will be jealous knowing that they absolutely CANNOT get all that ingame. So they'll buy microtransactions, serving R*'s whorish purpose even further. If that wasn't the case, they would have wiped the accounts of people who had dozens or hundreds (or in some cases thousands) of repeats on things like the violent duct mission, the cement mixer one, rooftop rumble, etc. But they didn't, because if they did that there wouldn't be anyone running around in online servers with all the best shit to tempt others to do microtransactions.

It would all almost be worth it if anyone honestly believed rockstar was going to use those to continue supporting the game. I mean, obviously, the billions they've made off it are more than adequate to continue updating, to keep adding new (free) content, to keep the game fresh and still make a huge profit. But they won't. Any new content they add will STILL be fucking DLC, the bane of all gaming, despite already having made more than they could have reasonably expected on sales and bringing in a constant stream of microtransaction revenues. And in the end it'll be a miniscule ammount of content, just like all other games. You'll pay five or ten dollars for some fucking pathetic miniscule addition of things to the game, things that before the scourge of consoles with multiplayer would have been added freely on any pc game.

So I guess what I'm saying is.... Fuck you rockstar.

Don't waste money buying in game money. Just play, enjoy, and have fun. You can always get money for ammo after only a robbery or two.

Yeah I've lost 2 already and I'm on my third. I didn't play over the last two days, but either way it's annoying.

Buy to win is not possible in GTA. Better equipment is unlocked only as you rank up. You can have 10 million but your still stuck with what level gear you have unlocked. It wont be a pay and win.

Also they practacly give you the best car in the game for free.

Pretty much, what they should be a dressing is the lost online characters, glitches and limited amount of content available. It's not like the missions where bringing in huge amount of money after they also nerfed what you earn and kept everything else high. Such as hospital bills, properties, ammo, entry fees etcc. Making it even hard for most to even earn anything. why not take off that stupid rivalry crap that I accidentally pressed and got killed like 7 times with a dude who had an AK. Also the so forth balancing does not work, a bunch of level 4 with a few level 20 plus

Maintenance has te be paid. You work for free mate?
We live in a commercial world, deal with it. If loads of people want something, you can afford asking money for it. That's the way it works. So if you don't want to pay, cool..but don't nagg because other people do..
