Rockstar’s new GTA 5: Cunning Stunts update DLC has finally arrived, bringing with it a smorgasbord of crazy vehicular content to enjoy.
The new Grand Theft Auto 5 Cunning Stunts (don’t say it too quickly, folks) content became available through GTA Online at around 10am today. Check out Rockstar’s official Cunning Stunts trailer below:

Cunning Stunts also adds 16 brand-new “high octane” Stunt Races that feature winding tubular tracks amongst Los Santos’ tallest skyscrapers to technical courses through canyons, over water, and across the desert.
The races all utilise ramps, loops, wall rides, tubes, raised tracks and dynamic objects for what Rockstars calls a “radically new take on GTA Online racing”. Some of the tracks rise as high as 20,000 feet, and that’s not to mention crazy obstacles like giant bowling pins and rings of fire.
To access a new Stunt Race, look out for the pink Stunt Series blips that are scattered across Los Santos and Blaine County. Enter one and you’ll be taken straight into a series of Stunt Races.
Here’s the full list of new races:
- Canyon Crossing
- City Air
- Downtown Loop
- East Coast
- Maze Bank Ascent
- OVer and Under
- Racing Alley
- Threading the Needle
- Trench I
- Vinewood Downhill
There are also new Premium Races for “elite level racers” that are looking for more challenging, high-stakes match-ups. You can compete against seven opponents by placing bets on winner-takes-all matches. All Premium Races are locked to specific vehicles or vehicle classes, and the races are only available for a limited time – weekly schedules will be released by Rockstar via its Newswire.
From now until Monday, July 18, you can enter the yellow Premium Race blip at Legion Square to take in any of the following races:
- Tuesday, July 12 – Maze Bank Ascent (Sports)
- Wednesday, July 13 – Duel (Muscle)
- Thursday, July 14 – Splits (New Vehicle - Brioso)
- Friday, July 15 – Pinewood Downhill (Motorcycles)
- Saturday, July 16 – Racing Alley (Sports)
- Sunday, July 17 – Canyon Crossing (Super)
- Monday, July 18 – Turbine (Off-road)
For the fashion conscious, Rockstar has added new clothing and character customisation options.
“Now available in retailers across Los Santos, a cutting-edge range of extreme, race-themed fashions,” writes Rockstar. “Flaunt your corporate ties with brand-sponsored racing jerseys, deck yourself in head-to-toe racing gear, or go full method in a stuntman suit. You may be little more than a blur, but that’s no reason not to look the part.”
There are also 50 new tattoos, plus additions like new helmet visor animations and a complete re-tooling of the Player Interation Menu.
Stunt Race Creator
On August 2, Rockstar will also be sending its Stunt Race Creator live. This will give the GTA Online Creator community the opportunity to tap into hundreds of stunt props, plus new features and improvements to create outrageous stunt tracks.
