GTA 5 is going next-gen, with Sony officially confirming that a GTA 5 PS4 release date will be held later this year.
Confirmed during Sony’s PlayStation themed E3 press conference, the gaming giant revealed that Rockstar’s open world behemoth will move beyond its PS3 and Xbox 360 roots for the first time during ‘fall 2014’.
Despite using Sony’s conference as its next-gen launch platform, developer Rockstar has confirmed that a GTA 5 Xbox One release will land alongside the PS4 edition of the game.
What’s more, PC gamers are also set to enjoy GTA 5 gameplay for the first time this autumn too.
As well as confirming the upcoming GTA 5 PS4 release date, House revealed that PS4 gamers will also be given the chance to continue their GTA 5 progress from their previous PS3 or even Xbox 360 activities.
Despite announcing a fall arrival, an exact GTA 5 PS4 release date has yet to be finalised. However, this launch window should see the eagerly awaited release touch down between September and November, a year after GTA 5 was originally introduced.
