Rockstar has confirmed the GTA 5 PC release date is delayed until March 24.
Alongside the confirmation of the PC minimum and recommended specs for GTA 5 on PC, Rockstar also revealed the release date has been pushed back.
Previously, GTA 5 on PC was due to be released on January 27, just a fortnight away.
Now the release date has been pushed back nearly two months to March 24.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be”, said Rockstar in the latest blog post. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans.”
“Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
The PC port of GTA 5 will come with GTA Online for PC, which is capable of supporting up to 30 players and will feature Online Heists. The latter will launch in the coming weeks on console platforms.
GTA 5 for PC also comes equipped with the Rockstar Editor. This editing tool suite allows you to create and publish gameplay clips, sharing them to YouTube or the Rockstar Social Club.
