GTA 5 PC release date teased by Amazon

Adding to the on-going GTA 5 PC rumours, a new listing on Amazon has hinted at an upcoming PC bound GTA 5 release date.

Currently confirmed for launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 only, a flurry of GTA 5 PC release date rumours have circulated in recent weeks, with publisher Rockstar widely expected to make the next instalment of the iconic Grand Theft Auto franchise available for PC gamers in the near future.

Although the publisher has yet to openly confirm plans for a GTA 5 PC release, a new listing on the French arm of Amazon has suggested that a GTA 5 PC offering is in the works, with the online retailer making the title available for pre-order with a 49.99 Euro (£41.95) price tag.

With a finalised PS3 and Xbox 360 GTA 5 release date still far from clear, Rockstar has to date offered no further details than the fact that the eventual and eagerly awaited GTA 5 release date will be held in ‘spring 2013’.

GTA 5 PC Rumours
With a flurry of GTA 5 rumours hinting towards an eventual GTA 5 PC release date, Rockstar has repeatedly left the door open for a PC launch, suggesting that whilst PS3 and Xbox 360 are currently the confirmed launch consoles, it will consider all viable platforms for the game. What’s more, a fan petition seeking to ensure a GTA 5 PC release has amassed 144,000 signatures.

Whilst the company previously suggested that a PC iteration of the GTA 5 release would be someway off in the future, recent GTA 5 PC rumours have suggested the title could touch down sooner than expected, with claimed GTA 5 PC system requirements even doing the rounds.

“For those asking about the PC platform, we’re currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don’t have any details to share about a PC version at this time,” the developer originally stated.

Despite this seemingly negative approach to a GTA 5 PC release, Rockstar spokespeople later offered more hope to expectant PC gamers, stating “everything else is up for consideration.”

Suggesting that a GTA 5 PC release will require a whopping 16GB of system RAM to run at full power, recent GTA 5 PC rumours have suggested the upcoming game will be capable of running with a reduced performance on a machine with 3GB of system RAM and a 3GHz dual-core processor.
