Google is now allowing users in some countries to enjoy free trials of Play store games before buying, reports on Tuesday have revealed.

The new feature, which has been in offing for quite some time, enables paid content to be streamed for a limited period of time.

Android Police was told of a ‘Try Now’ button next to compatible games, like Ticket to Ride, which leads to a ten minute trial.

It currently appears as if users can trial the games as many times as they want, but it’ll be the first ten minutes, rather than a continuation of progress.

While refunds have been available for a while, this will allow Play Store users to get to know the title somewhat before their accounts are ever charged.

A roll-out today is significant, given Google is about to take the stage for its Pixel phone lunch.

If we had to wager, we’d say Google will tell us all about this during the event which kicks off very, very shortly.
