Google is continuing its trend of using the world’s most visited web domain to push its latest hardware.
If you travel to the Google.com homepage on desktop and mobile, you may see a pop up asking whether you’d like to pre-order the new Google Pixel phones.
Tapping ‘Yes Please’ will take you directly to the product on the Made by Google site (via AndroidPolice).
Unfortunately, due to stock levels, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get one right now anyway, but at least Google is getting your eyeballs where it wants them.

Numerous times Google has been accused by competition regulators of using its dominant position in search to push its own products.
This, of course, is slightly different. Google isn’t looking to rig search results. It’s putting the product front and centre on the world’s most visited webpage.
