Google has announced the integration of it’s well-regarded Translate platform into Google Now on Tap.
Now, users on Android devices will be able to access a “translate this page” card whenever browsing a page in a foreign language.
Users will simply be able to hold down the Home button in order to access the card, which could prove invaluable when travelling.

“So if you’re using Google Maps and come across a location or a restaurant review in a foreign language,” the company explains on the Search blog, “just long press the home button and continue reading. You’ll even be able to translate multiple languages at once. “
On top of that, Google is also adding a Discover button to Now on Tap, which will make it easier for folks to discover related content.
The company added: “For example, if you’re reading an article about Pluto and are interested in learning about NASA, discover mode will show you a stream of links to YouTube videos, news articles and more.”
Finally, barcodes and QR codes have been added to the repertoire, with users able to receive cards related to scanned items.
