Google’s Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones are now official

After months of rumours, leaks, and speculation, Google has officially announced two new Nexus smartphones.

The devices in question are the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, both unveiled at a product launch event today.

We’ll kick off with the Nexus 5X, the smaller of the two handsets and brainchild of South Korean manufacturer LG.

We’ll spare you the faff – here’s the full list of specs:

Next up is the Nexus 6P, built by Chinese firm Huawei and decidedly stomping around in phablet territory.

Both handsets will be available to pre-order today, including in the UK, US, Ireland, and Japan.

The Nexus 5X starts at $379, while the Nexus 6P begins at $499.

Shipping kicks off later in October, and all handsets will be unlocked if purchased directly from Google.
