New Google Nexus 5 pictures have leaked online, with the handset renders showing off the upcoming phone’s narrow bezel incorporating form factor.

With the Google Nexus 5 widely expected to be announced in the coming weeks as a direct rival to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and upcoming iPhone 5S, claimed renders of the handset have made a premature appearance, revealing a number of new details about the device.

Seemingly set to the manufactured by LG like the Google Nexus 4 before it, the Nexus 5 has been shown with an expansive 5-inch screen and a narrow, heavily-reduced bezel that gives the phone a small footprint for the size of its display.

Despite LG having earlier this year ruled itself out of the running to manufacturer the Google Nexus 5, the latest leaked images clearly show the phone sporting an LG logo beneath the heavy Nexus branding.

Although no confirmed dimensions or specs are shown, the Google Nexus 5 images have suggested that the phone will be a particularly slim handset and run the newly confirmed Android 4.4 Kit Kat mobile operating system.

With a Google Nexus 5 release date having been previously tipped as October 31, recent Google Nexus 5 rumours have claimed that the phone will run a spec similar to that of the LG G2, with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

Further tipped Google Nexus 5 features include 3GB of RAM, similar to that found on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a 1080p Full HD display and the option of 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.
