Following the handset’s month long period of exclusivity on O2, UK network provider Three has started stocking the in-demand Google Nexus 4.

Available from today, December 13, the Three Google Nexus 4 release date sees the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean launching handset made available from another source, as SIM-free Google Nexus 4 stocks remain sold out via the Google Play Store.

One of the most in-demand handsets of the moment, Google Nexus 4 sales have been stunted in recent weeks as manufacturer LG struggles to meet demand of the high-end device that, on a SIM-free basis from Google at least, is extremely friendly on the wallet.

For those desperate to snap up the Google Nexus 4, unlike the Google Play Store which has the 8GB Google Nexus 4 out of stock and the 16GB edition with a 6-7 week shipping delay, Three is currently listing the device as ‘In stock’ with a December 14 estimated delivery date.

Although Three is currently listing Google Nexus 4 stock, those looking to buy the device through the UK network provider will miss out on the budget price tag handed to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 rival by the Google Play Store.

Whilst through Google’s own outlet the 8GB and 16GB Google Nexus 4 handsets will set wannabe owners back £239 and £279 respectively, on Three the 16GB device will cost £29 upfront plus £35 per month for 24 months. A package that will cost a hefty £869 over the two year period, this deal will see users bundled on the One Plan, pairing their Google Nexus 4 handsets with 2,000 inclusive monthly minutes, 5,000 additional Three-to-Three minutes, 5,000 texts and all-you-can-eat data.

Google Nexus 4 Features
One of the most specs impressive handsets on the market, the Google Nexus 4 pairs a collection of high-end innards with a sleekly designed, glass-backed body. Lining up at just 9.1mm thick and only 139g in weight, the Google Nexus 4 plays host to a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of integrated RAM and a 2,100mAH Lithium Polymer battery.

Running Google’s new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Google Nexus 4 features a stunning 4.7-inch WXGA IPS display with a1280 x 768p resolution, 320ppi image density and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for added protection. With an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera partnering with a second, 1.3-megapixel snapper up front, the Google Nexus 4 specs sheet is topped off by NFC technologies and wireless charging options.

Responding to complaints of Google Nexus 4 stock shortages, LG last week revealed that the handset “had proven extremely popular, and as such retailers have been met with huge demand.” Andy Coughlin, head of mobile at the UK arm of LG added: "We are working closely with Google to ensure that those who wish to purchase a handset are able to do so.”

Suggesting that Google Nexus 4 sales demand has exceeded expectation, Coughlin added: “As with any sales process, LG supplies product quantities against partners’/customers’ forecasts. Demand via the Play Store has been very high in this instance.”
