Google has released an online tool aimed at helping you decide which Android phone is right for you.
One of Android’s biggest strengths can also be a bit of a problem – there are just so many phones to choose from. Whether it’s the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge at the top end of the market or the Motorola Moto G 2 at the other, the choice can be overwhelming.
Step forward Google with a tool to help you decide which phone is best for you. It’s called, quite appropriately, Which Phone, and it can be found on the Android website.
The tool asks you to choose the things that you want to use your phone for from a list of 12. These include things like taking photos, listening to music, and gaming.
Selecting one at a time, you’re then taken to a screen that asks you to elaborate on the extent of the chosen activity. So, how many photos do you take in a day? How do you consume your music? And what sort of games do you play?
Once you’ve selected at least three of these intended tasks and run through all of the variables, Google’s Which Phone tool will provide three handset recommendations (those outside the US can just skip the carrier selection bit).
Each selection provides a sharp image and all the necessary specs, as well as colour options.
