Google has announced its fresh-thinking Inbox email client is now available almost everywhere.
The app, which focuses on delivering contextual information with email and placing key correspondences front and centre, is now available for Apple iPad and Android tablets.
The popular app, which differs greatly from Google’s standard Gmail client, has also expanded its reach on web browsers with Firefox and Safari users able to log-on at Inbox.Google.com.
Previously the service had only been available on iPhone, Android smartphones and within the Google Chrome browser.
Inbox seeks to do a better job of segregating personal email from promotional, with dedicated sections. All promos, purchases and travel emails have their own sections, making it easier for users to keep track.
It also integrates Google Now data to show user's order updates, flight status, reservation details and attached photos without them having to open the message.
The app remains in beta at this time and those wishing to try out the service can email email@example.com to request an invite.
“It’s always hard to know when it’s time to share a new product, because there’s always just a few more things you want to do,” Google wrote on the Official Gmail Blog.
“Today we’re happy to check off some of these to-dos for Inbox, making it easier to use on more devices and browsers."
