Google goes all out to ensure Assistant tickles your funny bone
Google has hired comedy writers from The Onion and Pixar in order to make the new Assistant tool the wittiest personal aid on the block.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Google wants assistant to be more personable than the likes of Alexa and Siri, and that means an improved sense of humour.
While the aforementioned apps will tell you a joke, or offer the occasional witty retort, Google seemingly wants Assistant to raise the bar for the Google Home speaker.

Google introduced us to the latest version of Assistant at its Pixel event last week.
It is available within the new Allo chat app, but the most exciting application is the voice-powered, Amazon Echo-rivalling Google Home device.
Home will go on sale in the United States next month for $129, undercutting the $179 Echo. It is currently available to pre-order.
Just like the Echo, it can control music streaming, search the web for information, command smart home devices and access the calendar.
Google believes the conversational Assistant will make Home a better option than Alexa.
