Google is giving away 2GB Drive storage – here’s how to get it

Google Drive

We love free things here at TrustedReviews, so Google’s latest announcement is great news.

Google is offering users 2GB of Drive space completely free of charge.

However, the giveaway is only available for today, in celebration of Safer Internet Day 2016.

So how do you get the goods? Well you’ll have to go through a brief account security check-up to qualify.

Google will make sure your account has features like two-step authentication and account recovery information set up.

Once that’s done, the free storage is yours. Magical, right? Click here to get started.

If you’re all up to date in terms of security, the review should take less than a minute.

It’s also worth noting that if you claimed last year’s free 2GB, you can still claim this year’s 2GB too.

Have you bagged the free 2GB of storage? Let us know in the comments.

Don't be fooled, it's not really free. It's just using a different currency, arguably a more valuable one, you may not pay with your cash but you pay with your privacy.

This was a painless way to get extra 2GB. Also the security check unearthed that the evil Zoopla had somehow managed to gain access to my Google account email and contacts, something I could quickly deal with.
