The Google Chromecast is now shipping to countries outside of the US courtesy of Amazon.com.

Google has yet to announce availability for the Chromecast outside the US, but that hasn’t stopped Amazon.com offering international delivery for the TV dongle.

We managed to get the Chromecast shipped to the UK, complete with shipping charges and import fees, for £34.06, but the delivery times are between 8 – 14 days.

Bumping up to AmazonGlobal Priority shipping saw the price jump to £52.65 all in. However, this means we could get the Chromecast delivered within 48 hours.

The Chromecast is also shipping to countries like Australia, Hong Kong and Germany too, with reports of other locations being supported coming in.

Of course, the Chromecast is still a US exclusive at the moment, which means you’ll need to find the APK to use it when it arrives.

Google Chromecast Features
The Google Chromecast is a HDMI streaming media player in the form of dongle that plugs straight into any HDTV.

Using Wi-Fi, the Chromecast streams services like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Google Play Movies and Google All Access Music from tablets and smartphones directly to the TV.

Running a simplified version of Chrome OS, the dongle is 2-inches long and pulls content from a cloud rather than your tablet or smartphone, meaning multiple users can interact with the content.

The Chromecast supports Full 1080p HD streaming and 5.1 surround sound.

Google has yet to announce availability for the Chromecast outside of the US, but when it was unveiled alongside the Nexus 7 2.0 the search engine giant said other regions would get the device “as soon as possible”.
