Google has been rather quiet at CES 2016, but the company is a throwing a bone to fans of its Google Cast and Android TV technology.
In a post on the official Android blog, Google announced a raft of new manufacturing partners for both platforms.
Google Cast, a rival to Apple’s AirPlay, enables manufacturers to build speakers, sound systems and soundbars packing tech that enables audio streaming from mobile devices.
Google says top audio manufacturers B&O Play, Harman Kardon, Onkyo, Philips, Pioneer, and Raumfeld will join the fray in 2016.
Sony and LG, who were among the first makers to launch speakers with Google Cast tech will also be refreshing their line-ups this year.
Google also says Frontier Silicon and StreamUnlimited will make it easier for more audio companies to jump on board throughout the year.

Meanwhile, the number of manufacturers building Android TV devices will also increase in 2016, joining set top boxes like the Nexus Player and Nvidia Shield.
In the blog post the company wrote: “Now you’ve got even more options to find the device that’s right for you. If you’re looking for a new TV, you can select an Android TV from Sony, Sharp and Philips. Later this year, Android TV will be available from Arcelik, Vestel, RCA, Hisense, TCL and Bang & Olufsen. And, for our users in Indonesia, Linknet now has an Android TV offering.”
