The Gigabyte P37X has been launched, with the company claiming it is the “world’s lightest 17.3-inch gaming laptop”.
Although that’s pretty specific, we’re always pleased to hear a company has focused on building a powerful, yet semi-portable gaming laptop.
It measures up at 22.5mm thick, but strangely Gigabyte won’t release exact weighs at the moment.
Announced at CES 2015, the Gigabyte P37X packs the latest Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M 8GB VRAM card for top end performance.
The P37X uses a quad-storage system and can be kitted out with up to a pair of 512GB mSATA SSD and two 2TB HDD drives.
It comes with a 17.3-inch Full HD display and comes with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre and a stereo subwoofer. There’s also Macro Hub Technology built in to simplify key customisation.
Gigabyte has also included Supra-cool Technology to keep the P37X cool for the intense gaming sessions.
The Gigabyte P37X will go on sale in February, with prices starting at $1149 (£760).
Also announced at CES 2015 was the Gigabyte P35X, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop also equipped with the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M graphics card.
It will go on sale this month with prices starting at $1499 (£950).
Gigabyte lifted the lid on the Gigabyte P34W, which has a 14-inch display and weighs 1.71kg. it comes with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M graphics card, a rapid mSATA SSD and a sizeable 2TB hard drive.
The P34W goes on sale starting this month, with pricing beginning at $1499 (£950).
