Giant Akyumen Holofone with Android, Windows 10 and a projector coming Sept. 1

After a unique smartphone to set you aside from the crowd? How about a 7-inch Android handset, with a built in projector, that also runs Windows 10?

The Akyumen Holofone, which was first unveiled at MWC earlier this year goes on sale in the US from September 1.

The Californian firm says the handset is capable of beaming a 100-inch HD image onto a new surface (via MobileScout).

As well as Android Lollipop, it also boots the full desktop Windows 10 experience, rather than the mobile version Microsoft is achieving very little success with.

In terms of specs, the 7-inch display will have a 1080p resolution and a quad-core Intel Atom processor, as well as 4GB RAM and 128GBs of expandable storage.

The 3500mAh battery will offer two hours of projection time, but you can keep it charged through the USB Type-C connectivity.

The Holofone also offers a 13-megapixel rear-facing snapper which has phase detection autofocus, and a 5-megapixel selfie cam.

The phablet starts at $600 with a range of accessories. No news yet on whether it’ll ever make it to the UK.

Regardless, the Note 7 better watch out, there’s a new big boy in town.
