Not long ago, Instagram unveiled a brand new logo, ditching the retro camera branding it had identified with since its launch back in 2010, in favour of more a colourful icon.
Predictably, the internet went into total meltdown, with scores of people taking to Twitter to condemn the change using some pretty colourful language.

Are you similarly appalled by the recent switch? We might be able to help.
UX designer Juan Ramirez published this quick guide to getting the old Instagram icon back on iOS devices. It comes complete with pictures, but to summarise:
1) Move the hideous new Instagram icon to your 'crap' folder. You know, the one where you stash the Stocks app and try to hide Tinder from your partner...
2) Follow this link from Juan's guide. iOS Safari is the recommended browser.
3) Click the bottom middle button in Safari (the one with the arrow pointing upwards) and then tap 'Add to Home Screen'
That's it. The link you just saved to your Home screen will take you to the Instagram web app and you should have the old logo back.
It's not totally ideal, but it's a pretty simple 'hack' if you really can't stand the sight of the new Instagram logo.
