The Gears of War 4 Season Pass will cost a whopping £39.99, making it almost the same price as the game itself.
Although all players will get free access to all 24 additional DLC maps, they will be rotated each month, meaning only a select few will be playable. Xbox Wire details that Season Pass owners will receive permanent access to all maps, with two launching per month over the course of the year.

The maps will be available for private play on dedicated servers. There will also be “an exclusive Developer Playlist that grants access to new maps, modes, and features that can be tested prior to broad release and six Gear Packs (which unlock character and weapon skins, emblems, equipment and boosts)”.
The season pass also includes “Vintage JD and two Vintage weapon skins”.
An Ultimate Edition is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store for £79.99, which grants four day early access to the full game on October 7.
Gears of War launches on October 11 exclusively on Xbox One.
