Well known for powerful and sophisticated sports watches such as the impressive Forerunner 610, Garmin has taken a different tack with its latest offering. The Garmin Forerunner 10 keeps features and interface simple to make tracking your training as quick and easy as possible.
At just 42g, the Forerunner 10 is also the company’s slimmest and lightest model yet. And, costing just £99, it’s the cheapest too. This makes it ideal for the more casual runners and riders among you, and more of a direct rival for the likes of the Nike+ SportsWatch.
The watch will track your location and time, displaying large and clear on the uncluttered face. Other features include a Virtual Pacer for keeping you up to speed and you can also store personal records such as fastest mile or longest run.
Like other Garmin Forerunners the watch will store the information ready to upload to a PC and Garmin’s online service. These let you view your run by plotting the GPS data points on a map, as well as show easy to read charts such as your average pace.
The Garmin Forerunner 10 hits shop shelves in September.
