Game of the Year goes to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at #TrustedReviewsAwards

It’s official, Game of the Year has gone to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at the TrustedReviews Awards 2015.

CD Projeckt Red’s RPG wowed both readers and judges with its immersive game world, an overwhelming amount of activities to take part in, and engaging storyline.

The other contenders, Metal Gear Solid 5 and GTA 5 (PC), just missed out in a category that was a close one to call.

“As far as RPGs go, The Witcher 3 is as good as it gets.” said Samantha Loveridge, TrustedReviews Games Editor.

“GTA 5 was great on PC, and the first person view was a great addition. Metal Gear Solid was one of the best games of the year too. But The Witcher 3 was so ambitious, so well done, and so addictive, it really was Game of the Year.”

There have been a number of high-profile releases this year with the likes of Batman: Arkham Knight, Forza Motorsport 6, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D all being shortlisted for the TrustedReviews Game of the Year.

“It’s been a great year for gamers and it’s only going to get better,” added Sam.

“With Star Wars Battlefront and Rainbow Six Siege both due out before Christmas, and a tonne of big titles scheduled for the new year, next year’s awards are going to be even harder to call.”
