It’s looking ever likelier that the Galaxy Note 6 will borrow Samsung’s quirky curved-edge design.
A newly leaked render has been posted on Twitter by technology journalist Shai Mizrachi. The render, first acquired by Android Authority, appears to depict a Galaxy Note 6, and lists dimensions (153 x 74.5 x 7.8mm) for the handset. Those dimensions are different from the ones leaked by uSwitch yesterday: 153.5 x 73.9 x 7.9mm.
We’re not sure why there is a disparity in dimensions, but the obvious answer is that either today’s leak, or yesterday’s leak, is false. As we can’t verify the legitimacy of either image, it’s hard to say which one is accurate.

Nevertheless, both leaks seem to agree that the Galaxy Note 6 – also rumoured as the Note 7 – will feature a dual curved-edge display, just like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. We’ve seen consistent reports that suggest there won’t be a non-curved version of the device. Instead, the Galaxy Note 6 is intended as a spiritual successor to last year’s upsized Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Other rumoured Galaxy Note 6 specs include:
- 5.77-inch display
- 2K (QHD) screen resolution
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor
- Adreno 530 GPU
- 6GB RAM
- 256GB storage
- 4,200mAh battery
- IP68-certified waterproof/dustproof body
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 6 in early August, with a release supposedly scheduled for September. Of course, Samsung is keep a lid on all information regarding the handset, so take reports about the phone with due caution.
