G.Skill has unveiled a new range of peripherals and PSUs, along with its more usual memory-based products, here at Computex 2015.
A RGB-LED backlit Ripjaws KM780 keyboard leads the peripheral charge, with it featuring a premium looking build that incorporates aluminium into the chassis. There’s also a neat little flip-out mouse cable tether to stop your mouse cable from getting snagged.
It’s joined by a customisable mouse, the Ripjaws MX780, that has an adjustable back section that can be raised or lowered. The sides can also be removed and replaced to further tweak the shape to your liking. It also has four different lighting zones and of course the latest in laser sensing technology.
A pair of headsets will also be available. The Ripjaws SV710 One is a conventional stereo pair with optional virtual surround sound while the Ripjaws SR910 is a true five speaker per earpiece surround design. We gave them a quick try and the seem very comfortable and robustly made. The also include a microphone and have a subtle backlit logo on the earcups.
As for the power supplies, there are just four in total, with two lower-power, lower efficiency models (80Plus Gold) and two more powerful, high efficiency models (80Plus Platinum). They consist of the PS750G/PS850G for the lower range and PS850P/PS1250P for the upper range. All are fully modular and have a simple black design.
On the memory front, the company also revealed a new PCI-E SSD, the Phoenix Blade X. With a PCI-E 3.0 x 4 connection and Phison PS5007-E7 controller it can achieve speeds of up to 2800MB/s read and 1400MB/s write.
