Fujifilm has announced a smaller and cheaper version of last year’s X-T1, the Fujifilm X-T10.
Like the aforementioned Fujifilm X-T1, the X-T10 is all about premium image quality and high-end control in a relatively compact and accessible package.
However, the X-T10 goes even further than the X-T1 on both fronts. Not only have its general dimensions shrunk, but it costs around $600 (£382) less.
Despite this, performance is very similar between the two. The Fujifilm X-T10 has the same 16.3 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS II image sensor, EXR Processor II, and of course access to the same range of X-mount lenses.
The X-T10 also gets access to the new and improved autofocus system that Fujifilm announced last week, which will be coming to the X-T1 as a software update. It’s said to be much batter at capturing moving subjects, as well as being superior at getting a fix in low light.
Around back there’s a tiltable 3-inch LCD display, and position on top of that is a 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder.
As a nod to the more casual photographer who may pick up the X-T10 at its lower price, there’s a full auto button alongside the usual array of manual controls.

The Fujifilm X-T10 will be launching in June for $800 (£510) body-only. For an extra $100 it will ship with a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.
It’ll feature Fujifilm’s standard retro styling, and will be available in a choice of black or silver.
