Anyone buying a new Sony Bravia W9 TV will receive a free Sony Xperia Z smartphone with their purchase.
From tomorrow, May 23, Sony is offering a free Xperia Z with any Sony Bravia W9 TV so that users can enjoy the connected entertainment experience.
The Sony Bravia W9 and the Sony Xperia Z both feature One-touch NFC that allows users to simply touch the smartphone against the TV remote to connect the two. Users can then stream the Xperia Z’s content to the Sony Bravia W9 wirelessly, including photos, videos and apps.
Packing Sony’s Triluminos display for high-defintion resolutions and the latest X-Reality Pro engine, the Sony Bravia W9 retails from £1,800.
Only available with the 55- and 46-inch screen versions of the Sony Bravia W9, the offer will be available from Sony centres, Currys and John Lewis stores among other selected retailers countrywide.
Sony is also offering the Sony Xperia L smartphone free with the 47- and 55-inch Sony Bravia W8 TV, which is priced from £1,300.
Sony Xperia Z Features
The Sony Xperia Z offers a 5-inch Full 1080p HD resolution display, powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM.
Playing host to IP55 and IP57 certificates, the Sony Xperia Z is dustproof and waterproof despite its slim 7.6mm thick body and 146g weight.
The smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera in the rear and 2-megapixels in front. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has 4G LTE compatibility, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
With up to 16GB of internal storage, the Sony Xperia also has a microSD card slot that supports memory cards up to 32GB.
Powered by the Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2, the Sony Xperia Z is a powerhouse of an Android smartphone.
