Fox is working on a new shooter in the Alien franchise
FoxNext Games, the gaming division of the media giant, has announced it has begun work on a new shooter based in the iconic universe.
In development for consoles and PC, the upcoming title will be the debut project from Cold Iron Studios. At the time of writing, we don’t know much else beyond that.
Staff at Cold Iron previously worked on the likes of Metroid Prime, Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands and more.
FoxNext has said the Alien shooter will provide “an action-packed gaming experience” although can provide “no other details” at this time.

The last game developed inside the sci-fi franchise was Creative Assembly’s Alien Isolation. This fantastic survival horror is rightfully regarded as one of the finest licensed games of all time.
Earning 9/10 in Stuart Andrew’s review back in 2014, Alien Isolation remains an absolutely terrifying experience. If you’re willing to mod VR support into the mix, it’s even spookier.
‘Terrifying, tense and almost unbearable, this is the Alien adaptation you’ve always dreamed of. It’s not quite flawless and the hide-and-seek gameplay can be tough going, but few other movie tie-ins work so hard to capture not just the look of the film, but the emotion and the pacing.’
