Forza Horizon 2 wins TrustedReviews Game of the Year
Forza Horizon 2 has been crowned the Game of the Year at the TrustedReviews Awards 2014.
Beating out competition from the other two shortlisted games, Alien Isolation and Mario Kart 8, Forza Horizon 2 won out in the public vote and the internal TrustedReviews votes too.
Published by Microsoft Game Studios and released on September 30, Forza Horizon 2 set a mark this year by achieving the first coveted 10/10 Editor’s Choice award in the TrustedReviews review.
“Forza Horizon 2 is not just a fantastic technical achievement, but one of the most exuberant, exciting and downright entertaining racers ever made,” said TrustedReviews Games Reviewer, Stuart Andrews.
Forza Horizon 2 is a near-perfect arcade racer that excels both in on- and off-road racing. That’s partly thanks to the game’s Forza Motorsports 5 guts, which provide excellent vehicle handling and the ability to make the races as hard or as easy as you require.
Of course, the fact that Horizon 2 boasts the most gorgeous graphics of most of the games we’ve seen this year also complements its racing prowess. That’s talking about the vehicles themselves and the European scenery you’ll be racing through.
It was also not only the best arcade racer of this year, but by far the best racing game overall. We had high hopes for the PS4 exclusive DriveClub, but it has been plagued with server issues and repetitive tracks.
Forza Horizon 2 is available on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
