Forza Horizon 2 will arrive for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the autumn, Microsoft has announced.
The next instalment in the Xbox exclusive racing series is in development primarily at Playground Games, but Turn 10 Studios, responsible for the main Forza series including Xbox One’s Forza 5, is working with the team.
The game will follow on from 2012’s Forza Horizon and is set in Southern Europe around a music festival.
As you can see from the IGN obtained screenshot above, the flagship vehicle for Horizon 2 is the Lamborghini Huracan, but the game will feature hundreds of cars.
Forza Horizon 2 will be the first to introduce the long-awaited weather system and the game will also feature the Drivatar system from Forza 5.
“[Turn 10 and Playground] share this belief that we can create a true home for racing fans on Xbox One,” said Horizon 2 creative director Ralph Fulton to IGN.
Fulton also added that the Southern European setting for Horizon 2 will allow the game to offer “incredible diversity” and “amazing vistas”.
Aside from these details, there isn’t much else to say about Horizon 2 yet, but more information to due to be revealed tomorrow, June 3.
Forza Horizon 2 will arrive in the autumn of 2014 exclusively for the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
