Forza Motorsport 6

Forza Motorsport 6 could be coming to PC in a slimmed down free-to-play version called ‘Apex’, according to an article from The Seattle Times.

The article has been taking down, but IBTimes managed to catch it, and it’s still available in cached form. According to the original Seattle Times article, Microsoft is planning to grow its gaming platform from one focused primarily on console to include PC-gaming, encouraging first-party studios to release its games on the platform.

“We are 100 percent committed to the PC-gaming space,” Xbox boss Phil Spencer is quoted. “That is a long-term commitment from us.”

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is said to be a slimmed down, free-to-play version of the Xbox One game which will launch on Windows 10 this spring.

Forza 6 is not the only Xbox One title to be making its way across to PC: Quantum Break has been confirmed for Windows 10 while Gears 4 has also been rumoured to be coming to the platform.
