Forza 5 Xbox One direct-feed gameplay footage released

Turn 10 Studios has unveiled a new video offering the first ever direct-feed gameplay footage of Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One.

Featuring the 2012 Pagani Huayra racing the Bernese Alps circuit amidst the snowy peaks, the direct-feed footage is shown in Full 1080p HD at 60fps.

The Bernese Alps circuit was introduced with Forza 4, but has been rebuilt for Forza 5 on the Xbox One to showcase the elevation changes in the track and make the most of the new graphics engine for the game.

Take 10 Studios also announced that the Silverstone Circuit will be making its reappearance in Forza 5, having been rebuilt for the Xbox One game to include the track layout introduced in 2010.

“Known as the ‘home of British racing’, the Silverstone Circuit is 3.6 miles long and features 18 corners ranging from high-speed sweepers such as Woodcote to intricate series like the Maggotts and Becketts corners,” explains Microsoft. “The Silverstone Circuit was laser-scanned during development to provide the most accurate rendering of the circuit to be found in any racing game.”

Earlier this year, Polyphony announced that Gran Turismo 6 for the PS3 would also feature the Silverstone Circuit.

Forza 5 will feature hundreds of drivable cars that will appear during the eight leagues within the new career mode. Each league covers a different genre of vehicle, ranging from vintage to supercar, with a special introduction and commentary provided by Top Gear hosts James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson for each set of events.

Rather than progressing from low-performance cars to the super-charged, players will be able to enter the events in whichever order they please, as long as they have a car that fits the requirements of the league.

Available to pre-order now, Forza 5 will be a launch title for the Xbox One when it is released in the UK on November 22.
