Fortnite Battle Royale is officially coming to mobile devices
Epic Games has announced that the hugely popular Fortnite is coming to iOS and Android devices in 2018.
In a recent blog post, Epic Games said it will be bringing Fortnite to iOS first and foremost with an invite-only event set to take place in the near future.
“Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices! On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates. Starting Monday, you can sign-up for the Invite Event on iOS. Support for Android will be coming in the next few months.”
In addition, a partnership with Sony means that cross-play and cross-progression will eventually be available across PS4, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.

Those chosen will receive an email with instructions on how to download the game to their device. If you don’t get a spot, don’t worry, Epic has plenty of tests planned for the months ahead.
To participate you’ll need to be in possession of one of the following iOS devices running iOS 11: iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017.
