Forget Pokemon Go, you can get 30% off Red, Blue and Yellow this Thursday

Pokemon Go is currently more popular than Twitter, with millions of active users currently walking miles in the hunt for more creatures to add to their collection, but Nintendo is slashing the prices of the three games that started it all, too.

This Thursday you’ll be able to buy Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow from the 3DS eShop at a 30% discount. Each game will be available for £6.29.

While players continue to stroll around the globe catching Pokemon with their smartphones, the original games will always be considered the very best to many fans of the series. The original 150 creatures still stand as some of the most recognisable in the entire critter roster, so the chance to go on the journey that started the craze is definitely worth a punt.

Pokemon Go is still yet to launch in the UK, but that hasn’t stopped thousands of wannabe Pokemasters getting the game earlier and heading out to catch some critters.

This year will also see the launch of the next entries in the franchise: Pokemon Sun and Moon. With the incredible popularity the series is enjoying at the moment, Sun and Moon could become two of the best-selling entries to date.
