Five Nights at Freddy’s RPG removed from Steam over negative reviews

Five Nights at Freddy’s creator has removed his latest game, FNaF World, from Steam following negative feedback from fans.

Scott Cawthon has gained quite the reputation for the short development time of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, and it seems fans are catching on.

The latest game in the franchise, FNaF World, has been pulled from Steam completely after a number of negative reviews.

Cawthon’s RPG spin-off was originally set for a February release, but was suddenly released in January, much to the surprise of fans.

Many were quick to accuse the creator of rushing the game, and now he has had the game completely removed from Valve’s service.

Cawthon himself requested for the game to be taken down, and urges all fans who purchased the game to seek refunds.

Once the game has been fixed and completed, Cawthon will release it on GameJolt for free, with no extra catch.

“Hi everyone, I wanted to make a post about the fate of FNaF World. Even though the game had a “Very Positive” rating with 87%, I was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting.”

“For that reason, I’ve decided to remove the game from Steam. I’ve also asked Valve to make it so that the game can be refunded regardless of the amount of the time it has been owned, meaning that anyone can get a refund at any time. It may take them a while to set that up, but it will be in place soon.”

“I’m still going to work on FNaF World and polish it up. I’m busy creating a fully 3D overworld for the game. When I’m ready to update the game, I will replace the demo currently on GameJolt with the full game.”

“From this point forward, the game will always be free. I appreciate your support, and I encourage you all to refund your Steam game (even if you enjoyed the game), and download the new version when it becomes available on GameJolt. :).”

It’s humble of Scott Cawthon to admit his mistakes, even if some fans felt satisfied with the game at first.

We have no idea what’s next for Freddy and his deranged pizzeria, but here’s hoping it’s extra spooky.
