Fitbit, the maker of the much-loved range of fitness trackers of the same name, has released a killer companion app for Windows 10.
The health-focused firm has rocked out a universal app for Microsoft’s new OS, which will also come to Xbox One and Windows 10 Mobile when those versions are rolled out later in 2015.
The wearables specialist says (via Windows Central) it has delivered a “more engaging and fluid app design” that lets people personalise their journey across all of their Windows devices.
The attractive app offers a dashboard with a host of tiles that show how users are progressing towards their goals. Quick Actions will also enable folks to quickly log water consumption and calorie intake, rather than browsing through a host of menus.
Fitness tracking toools appear one of the many arenas where users will be able to benefit from the universal app approach as all data will be synced in real time to all devices.
Of course, it won’t come into its own until Windows 10 Mobile or Windows 10 for Xbox One arrives later this year, but it’s a nice proposition for Microsoft-loving Fitbit fans to look forward to.

Fitbit for Windows 10 can be downloaded from the Windows Store now. It’s compatible with the Charge, Charge HR and Surge models as well as the older Flex, Zip and One. It’ll also sync up nicely with the Aria Wi-Fi Smartscale.
