First Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay trailer released

Developer Rocksteady has released the first Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay trailer entitled “Evening the Odds”.

The gameplay trailer is focused on showing off the Batmobile as Arkham Knight will be the first game that actually lets your drive it.

If you watch carefully, you’ll also get a few glimpses of the villains that will play a part in the Arkham Knight storyline.

The main protagonist, the eponymous Arkham Knight, is a militarised, more rugged and extreme version of the Batman himself. According to Rocksteady, Arkham Knight will “really challenge Batman to go head to head with him in lots of different ways.”

The closing game in the Arkham series aims to take the idea of becoming Batman “one step further” than any of the previous series instalments.

“The Arkham games have always been about providing that power fantasy, about being and feeling like Batman. We’re going to take it further with the addition of the Batmobile and the bigger city”, said Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill.

The game will arrive on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in late 2014.
