A Final Fantasy XV major reveal will happen at GamesCom 2015, rather than the upcoming E3 2015.
During the latest Active Time Event, the game’s developers have confirmed anyone expecting a major reveal of Final Fantasy XV at E3 is going to be disappointed.
Although Final Fantasy XV will have a short trailer at E3, the game’s next big reveal will come at GamesCom in August 2015.
That’s according to Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata anyway, as translated by DualShockers.
Speaking in the YouTube video below, Tabata says the development team believes it has reached a major milestone by releasing Episode Duscae.
The team has classed it as a prologue to the final game’s release, but now’s the time to start promoting the main game.
The idea is to begin releasing pertinent information about Final Fantasy XV in the regions where the game will be released.
E3 is too soon for the development team to prepare for a major reveal, but GamesCom will be the proper introduction to the full game in August.
Then there will be more information on the game at GamesCom, followed by PAX and the Tokyo Game Show.
Apparently, this series of major gaming events will serve as the “reboot and restart” of the game’s promotion.
However, Tabata has teased that there will be some information revealed before E3, so we can look forward to that.
