Square Enix has just announced Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age, coming to PS4 in 2017.
The title is intended as a complete remaster of the original game, which launched for PS2 way back in 2006.
The newly released trailer features remastered cinematics and gameplay, complete with what appear to be high-definition character models and environments.
Previous remasters in the franchise, such as Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD, included a new orchestral soundtrack, so expect XII to receive a similar treatment.
The trailer concludes with a 2017 release window, which may only apply to Japan at this point.
We’ll be sure to update you once we know more about the game, including a solid release date.
