Just a couple of days before Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally hits cinemas, Google has released a neat browser-based Star Wars game to tide us over before the main event.
The Lightsaber Escape experience requires would-be Jedi Knights to log onto the Google Chrome web browser on desktop and pair a smartphone by visiting a custom website.
Pairing the devices will place you on a Star Destroyer, under attack from Stormtroopers. Using the paired smartphone, you can deflect the incoming laser fire by tilting the phone to the left and right.
In a cool little twist, the blade appears on the browser screen while the helm is shown on the smartphone. You can turn it on and off by pushing a button and movement is accompanied by all of the requisite sound effects.

The neat little mini-game is free to play and doesn't contain any spoilers, so log onto the Google Chrome browser now to give it a whirl. If it doesn't tickle your fancy, here's our guide to the best Star Wars games ever.
We're guessing it's pretty popular, because the site is currently over capacity. Just like the movie, in fact. Earlier today, we reported on the ridiculousness of the early ticket sales.
