Far Cry Primal is a series spin-off that will take place in the ice age, according to a recent report.
Yesterday Ubisoft began teasing a new game with a livestream of cave paintings, and this game is rumoured to be a spin-off titled Far Cry Primal.
According to sources at Kotaku, Far Cry Primal will be set during the ice age.
An accidental tweet from IGN Turkey also confirmed the game, but was quickly removed when people took notice.
Ubisoft’s twitter account recently tweeted a 15 second video teasing the project.
The video features combat with animals such as woolly mammoths and bears with bows and spears.
Another Ubisoft tweet contained the tagline: “survival is timeless”
Images released by IGN Turkey hint towards the idea multiple factions at war and the use of clubs as in-game weapons.

We don’t yet know if Far Cry Primal will be a full priced release, or something similar to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
The spin-off could be DLC for Far Cry 4 or a standalone expansion much like Blood Dragon was.
Far Cry 4 launched in November 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
The setting behind Far Cry Primal certainly sounds interesting, even if it doesn’t have dinosaurs.
Far Cry 5 better take place on a huge dinosaur island, or we’re going to flip out.
