Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout Shelter is coming to Android this August.

Although we've only got five months until the Fallout 4 release date, Bethesda treated us to the launch of Fallout Shelter at E3 2015.

The mobile game lets you build and oversee your own vault, but currently the title is only available for iOS gamers.

So far, Android Fallout fans have been left wanting, with Bethesda promising the version is in development during the announcement.

However, now it seems Fallout Shelter should drop onto the Android Google Play Store this August.

That's according to a response from Bethesda's Pete Hines to a fan's question on Twitter.

"Coming along nice[ly]. Haven't announced a fate, but should be out next month. We'll let you know when we have specifics," said Hines.

Fallout Shelter shot to number one in the App Store when it was released. It actually was ranked the top downloaded game in 48 countries and the top downloaded app of any kind in 25 countries following its release.

The game is a post-nuclear strategy and sim experience that sees you building your own vault with a variety of rooms and functions. You'll need to oversee your Vault Dweller community, protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland and work out how to create a thriving Vault habitat.

Fallout 4 is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 10.
